2IB Staff Lunch

Today at Nesbru Videregående Skole, all the students from 2IB took part in preparing the annual Staff lunch. Each student brought a dish from their home country for the teachers to eat and enjoy a diverse lunch. The Staff Lunch is hosted by the students every year as part of their CAS experience. The objective is not only to provide teachers with an enjoyable meal but also to raise money for future CAS activities at the school. 

 The students helped set up a variety of dishes representing different cultures, including both savory foods and delicious desserts. We asked two students what they had prepared: “I brought a Greek salad with chickpeas" “And I prepared something from Thailand, which is called Khao Pad, which is fried rice with chicken” 

A member from the Staff Lunch Organizing group had this to say about the success of the event: “I’m really happy with how it turned out, the teachers seem very happy with the lunch, and I’m looking forward to trying the food myself” 

The Staff Lunch provided a great opportunity for the students and teachers to engage outside the classroom, and what better way to do that than through food?
