Habitat for Humanity is a charity program which IB students throughout the year raise money for, in order to be able to travel down to Romania and build houses for families who can’t necessarily afford one themselves. This year eleven of us went down to Comanesti, including our two teachers Elizabeth and Ginny. Our trip first started off in Bucharest where we stayed the night. The 3IB economics class went to Norges Bank on the 6th of November. During our visit, we played a game concerned with various aspects of the central bank's purpose. Happily, the Nesbru 3IB economics class managed to perform the best out of all previous schools that had visited. We are officially the first school with a score over 190'000 points.
On Saturday and Sunday, Nesbru vgs hosted the 15th annual Sandefjord and Nesbru Model United Nations (SANMUN) conference. 120 students and MUN directors from all over Norway (and 1 school from Sweden) participated in this UN simulation, debating resolutions based on the conference theme, Conflict.
