Nesbru student is a finalist in the competition Young Scientists 2018!

Vilde Rørnes in 3IB submitted her Extended Essay to Unge Forskere and got to the finals, which is exciting!

Her research question was:

"To what Extent Does the Presence of Microbeads Impact the Population Growth of the Fresh-Water Algae, Chlamydomonas reinhardtii?"

About the competition:

The competition Young Scientists is a research contest for youth between 13 and 20 years, organized annually.

The finalists' research projects of this year include microplastics in freshwater, the TV series "Line fikser kroppen" and the mathematics of a guitar. If you are interested in meeting the finalists and learning more about the projects, you are welcome to attend the Research Council on Friday, April 20th from 12-13 o'clock. Here all the projects will be presented in a poster exhibition with a subsequent award ceremony. The finalists are competing for cash prizes and participation in international research competitions.
